Day 1 - ARUSHA  » TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning, there will be a very short brief about the safari schedule, including the day’s plan for the game drive’s timings, what is to be seen, and places to visit. After this short briefing, you will start the trip to the Tarangire National Park. You will arrive after a 2-3 hours’ drive from Arusha. The park is one of the most attractive parks in Tanzania, with a river which is the primary source of fresh water for graminivores, carnivores and various other common local wildlife. During the annual dry season (June – November), all animals are congregated in the park for  fresh water – and so you will witness high densities of elephants, thousands of zebras, wildebeest, Cape buffalo, as well as lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, honey badgers, African wild dogs, waterbucks, giraffes, dik-diks, impalas, elands, grant gazelles, vervet monkeys, banded mongooses, olive baboons, and many others. What’s more, Tarangire National Park is a perfect place for bird-watchers with over 550 different bird species – including the Maasai Ostrich (the world largest bird).

Afternoon & evening

Around afternoon, you will stop at a suitable picnic place to have lunch. Then you will continue with more of wildlife viewing and exploration of the beauty in Tarangire National Park, including its beautiful baobab trees, termite mounds, granitic ridges, river valleys, swamps, and many other natural attractions surrounding the area.

In the evening, before sunset, and after having an epic day full of enjoyment – the game drives, having seen a variety of flora and fauna, you will be driven back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay to Maramboi Tented Lodge as the next stopover in this tour.


Day 2 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK » LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK » KARATU

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the lodge, followed by a very short brief about your tour’s schedule then you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park which is approximately one hour from the lodge. The park is well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake, thousands of pink flamingos, huge number of baboons and many other animals too. Lake Manyara is shallow and it’s alkaline which covers an area of 220 square kilometers which is two thirds of the park’s total surface area. Lake Manyara National Park has plenty of elephants, wildebeests along with so many giraffes, and buffaloes. Also, it’s surrounded by bands of mixed acacia woodlands and captivating evergreen forests.

In the afternoon, you will stop for lunch break and provided lunch boxes and after continue to explore the beauty of Lake Manyara National Park.

In early evening, after enjoying yourself to the fullest, and seeing the beauty of Lake Manyara National Park – including its wildlife, the lake, birds and vegetation, you will be taken to Ngorongoro farm house  In Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 3 & 4 - KARATU » SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Morning

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the lodge, followed by a very short brief about your tour’s schedule then you will be driven to Serengeti National Park. It is famous for its abundance of wildlife and a high biodiversity. These two days are dedicated to game viewing in the biggest National Park in Tanzania. Your guide will take you to the best spots to observe the wildlife. Elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topi, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and many more can be seen in this large National Park. Especially in the Seronera Valley you will be able to experience fantastic game viewing all year round. The Serengeti, together with the Masai Mara in Kenya, is also home to the largest animal migration on the planet. You will witness a big annual migration of over millions of graminivores, predators hunting, reptiles, and many other animals who join the trek for fresh grazing land. Even without   the migration, the Serengeti’s wildlife is unparallele

In the afternoon, you will stop for lunch break at suitable place and provided lunch boxes and after continue with wildlife adventure of Serengeti National Park.

 

In the early evening, after an extensive game drive in Africa’s most famous and fabulous game reserve, having seen thousands of wildlife in migration and the ‘Big-Five’, and seeing the park’s vegetation, you will be taken to Thorn Tree Camp/katikati Camp for rest, dinner and a two-night stay, as Serengeti National Park is big and requires at least two days to enjoy it to the fullest. Hence the next day you will continue with the same schedule as of this day.


Day 5 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK » NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA » KARATU

Morning

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the lodge, followed by a very short brief about your tour’s schedule. Then you will be driven to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On reaching the crater’s edge, the 19-km diameter caldera opens up before you in all its stunning glory, and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail. This World Heritage Site is seasonally home to over 25,000 animals, including a wide variety of birds, packs of hyenas, and the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

Afternoon & evening

In the afternoon, while still being inside Ngorongoro conversation area, you will stop at a suitable place and be served a packed lunch before you continue with the adventure.

 

In the evening, after exploring the beautiful scenery in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the adventure of experiencing a variety of habitats, dazzling and beautiful landscapes, as well as wildlife you will be taken to Ngorongoro farm house in Karatu for rest and dinner.


Day 6 - KARATU » LAKE EYASI » KARATU

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the lodge, followed by a very short brief about your tour’s schedule. Then you will be driven about 45 km to Lake Eyasi to visit the Bushmans Village – one of the rarest tribes in Tanzania. Lake Eyasi is seasonal shallow and it attracts vast numbers of birds of all sizes and colors for instance; Africa spoonbill, flamingos, gray headed gulls, great white pelicans, pied avocet and yellow-billed storks. Furthermore, you will meet tribal people named ‘Hadzabe bushmen’ living around this area – they live in caves, they don’t wear any kind of clothes but rather skin to cover the private parts and everything they use is made from local materials. Oddly, their language resembles that of ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’ 1980 film.

Afternoon & evening

In the afternoon, you will be served lunchboxes and continue with your adventure in Lake Eyasi

 

In the evening, after enjoying a day hikes, exploring on foot, witnessing how tribal people live and hunt, and enjoying the sunset which is very marvelous at Lake Eyasi, you will be taken back Kitela Lodge in Karatu for rest, dinner and night.


Day 7 - KARATU » ARUSHA

Morning

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the lodge, followed by a very short brief about your final tour day’s schedule. Then you will be taken back to Arusha and arrive in the late afternoon. On the way back, you will visit a Maasai village where you will see their community, lifestyle, farms, markets and many other things. You will be provided an opportunity to purchase anything you fancy as souvenirs in the Maasais’ local markets. During lunch time, you will stop at a suitable  place and be served a packed lunch before you continue with your journey.

After having an adventurous trip into three national parks and an amazing experience, you will be arriving at Arusha then dropped off to your hotel, or to the airport.
